Harry Potter was at home, and he was getting ready to go to Ron Weasley's house. He was going to go celebrate Christmas with him. His friend Ron was always excited to see him, and so was his other friend Hermione. On Christmas Day, he went to his tree, and saw that there were presents for him.
He opened the first one he saw. It was a new wand. He did need one. His was getting too old to be used, and it was too dirty. He held it for a moment. Suddenly, his hair went up, and there was a glow around him. The core was correct! His old one didn't seem to work, because it didn't have the right core.
It was a Dragon Hart String core. When he went to Ron's house, he showed Ron his new wand. "It seems to work better than my old wand. It is a Dragon Hart String core, " he said. "Wow!" Ron said. " Has Hermione come yet?" Harry asked. " No, not yet, " Ron responded. Just then, the doorbell rang.
Harry and Ron opened the door. It was Hermione. "Look at my new wand!" Harry showed it to Hermione. "What is the core?" Hermione asked. "Dragon Hart string, " Ron and Harry said at the same time. Just then, there was a knock on the door. Mr. Weasley opened the door, and a black dog came in.
It was Sirius Black, Harry's godfather. He had known he had one since he was a third year. Sirius was aka Padfoot. When he was a dog, he was called that. Other wise he was called Sirius. He was the only Gryffindor in his family. The rest of the Blacks were in Slytherin.
When Sirius saw Harry, he said, " Hi Harry, How have you been since the last time I saw you?" "Good, "Harry said. "Do you like your new wand?" "Yes, but how do you know I have a new wand?" "I gave it to you!" said Sirius. " Oh, thank you!" said Harry.
Then, Harry went to the room he had when he came to the Burrow ( The Weasleys's house ). He relaxed for a while. After about 45 minutes, he went downstairs, and everything was covered with Christmas decorations. There was even a 10 feet tall Christmas tree, about as tall as Hagrid, one of Harry's friends at Hogwarts.
Harry and his friends went to other people's houses, like Neville Longbottom's ( one of Harry's friends that was in Harry's house and year ), to hangout. Then, they went Christmas caroling like what muggles did every year. Muggles were people who couldn't use magic. None of them (except Harry's uncle and aunt ) knew about it.
By the time they had come home, one of the windows were broken. Someone had tried to rob from the burrow! They called Alastor Moody, an auror, or someone who caught dark wizards, but still they looked for the bad guy who was trying to rob them.
They looked in every room, but they couldn't find the bad wizard. Suddenly, Harry saw some green light. It was the Avada Kadavra curse. Harry went to see what was going on. Someone was trying to destroy everything in the house by using that curse. Harry used expelliarmus.
The wizard dropped his wand, and then Harry used Imobulas on the bad guy, and then used Reducto on him. The bad guy turned into dust. The others had been watching him.
Now that they knew that the bad guy was gone, they sang all the Christmas songs that Hermione knew the muggles sang on Christmas, since she was muggle-born. They did this for the rest of the night.
