Batman: How the Dark Knight TOOK OVER Arkham Asylum

Content syndicated from: https://www.cbr.com/batman-takes-over-arkham-asylum/

Where most superheroes are content to place their enemies in prison for their crimes, Batman famously deposits his enemies at Arkham Asylum. The Gothic manor might be imposing or frightening, but the fact that it's a hospital and that's it's meant to help people overcome their mental health issues is a major aspect of Batman's war on crime.

Since it debuted in 1974's Batman #258, by Denny O'Neil and Irv Novick, Arkham Asylum has morphed and evolved into an indispensable part of Batman's approach to crime-fighting, and Bruce Wayne even operates the facility in some corners of the DC Multiverse.
