The Mystery of the Manga Theft!

#manga #mystery

One day, there Keefe and Tommy were at the manga shop. They were the first people to go there in 10 years after manga had stopped being shipped from Japan. Keefe and Tommy were enjoying themselves there. There were two people behind the desk who were helping check out books. It was surprising that they hadn’t closed down the shop because they hadn’t had customers in a long time. Why were these two still here?

The next day, Keefe and Tommy got a call from Chase, a police officer, about the manga shop being robbed. Chase said, No one knows why this is happening. No one seemed interested in manga for so long. Figure out who the criminal is and get the manga back. One thing is that that manga store is getting so much attention because of this.”

“We’ll figure this out, Chase,” Keefe said. The call ended there. “Well Tommy, we can start the mission now if you want to.”

“Where should we start? Keefe asked.

“Let’s start at the manga store and see if we can find some witnesses,” Tommy said. Keefe said, “Yea, good idea” Keefe and Tommy drove to the manga shop and they went inside. They walked up to the checkout counter and Keefe talked to her; Keefe said, “Hi, do you know anything about what happened when the manga was taken? Maybe who took it or where they went?”

“I saw that the criminal was escaping with the bags of manga just as I was about to open the store for the day. I saw them running in the general direction that the window was facing. I usually open it with my co-worker; We take shifts every hour, but he was busy. He said he had to do something and also wanted to postpone the time to open the store, but I couldn’t do that in case we finally had customers.”

“Ok, thank you for letting us know!” Keefe said to the clerk, but he said this to Tommy, ”If you go that way, you end up at the docks. Maybe we could find someone that can tell us something about where the manga went.” Tommy nodded. “Maybe we can head to the docs. Maybe we can talk to the first harbor staff member we find and ask about the ships.”

“Good idea, we can ask them about what ship the criminals boarded. We can maybe find a clue to where the criminals went to,” Keefe said. They got into the car again and went to the docks.

When they arrived, they found a staff member who was working near a ship that was unloading manga. They went up to him and Tommy said, “hello, have there been any manga thieves who came this way? They robbed the manga shop and we heard that they came this way.”

“There was one person. I saw him try to run this way, but we stopped him and made him go the other way so that he couldn’t steal the manga. He ran that way.” The harbor staff member pointed toward another exit of the harbor. Keefe thanked the man and got back into the car. They brought it over to that side to see if any parts of the jacket had completely fallen off. “Yes!” Keefe said. “There was a piece of the jacket that had fallen off!”

“This looks like a piece of the jacket that was in the manga shop yesterday and today. Also, the lady there said that her co-worker didn’t come, but told her she had something to do. A possible suspect is the guy who worked at the manga shop,” Tommy said. Keefe gasped and said, “yes, that is so true. All we need is more proof!” Tommy looked at Keefe like the proof was already there. “Keefe? We already have that!” Keefe seemed surprised. “We do?” he asked.

“Yes, we do Keefe! A witness who can tell the police everything that we found out!” Tommy almost yelled. Keefe’s expression went from surprised and confused to an expression that there was another obvious thing. “We don’t know if the jacket at the store is the one with holes bro,” Keefe said.

“True,” Tommy responded. So they went to the manga store again.

They asked the clerk for the jacket and looked at it for a while. There were holes in it. Tommy was right. There were holes in the jacket, and they were the same shape. Now they knew who had stolen all the manga. They gave the jacket back to the clerk and said, “We know who took the manga now.” The clerk seemed surprised and interested in what they had to say. “Who took it?” she asked.

“I think we should talk to the police about it as well. Please bring the jacket with you. It is something we will use as proof.” She brought the jacket with them and when they got to the police station, Keefe and Tommy explained everything to the officer and the clerk. The officer congratulated them on finding out who the criminal was. “You did a good job, guys! Thanks!”

“No problem!” Keefe and Tommy said at the same time.

Now, they wait for the next mystery, excited to find out more clues and find more criminals.
